Support vulnerable community members in your role as a Support Worker with Island Crisis Care Society. Focus on life skills training and compassionate care while fostering independence in clients. As a dedicated Support Worker, you will contribute to assessing and planning personalized support for clients.
Your role is essential in helping clients develop life skills and maintain their safety and well-being while participating in community activities. You will embody the organization’s core values of care, compassion, and integrity. Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in assessment and planning for client programs
- Teach life skills such as meal preparation and budgeting
- Assist clients towards greater independence and social skills
- Offer emotional support and build connections with clients
- Prepare and serve meals while adhering to health standards Requirements:
- Diploma in a social services field
- One year of recent experience or equivalent
- Certification in Standard First Aid with CPR-C
- Naloxone Administration training
- Successful background check for Vulnerable persons Utilize your compassion and interpersonal skills to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable adults with Island Crisis Care Society.
