Introduction

Robertson is seeking a skilled IT - Data Solutions Developer IV to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

Contract Period: 12 months

Pay Rate: Starting form $72 per hour

Location : Toronto, ON

Location Type: Hybrid

Business Hours: Monday-Friday, Core business hours

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain architectures, such as databases and large-scale processing systems, to handle the collection, storage, and retrieval of large datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data requirements, pipeline design, and data aggregation and transformation
- Implement data privacy and security measures to ensure adherence to compliance standards and protection of sensitive information
- Optimize data retrieval and develop dashboards, reports, and other visualization tools to present data insights to end-users effectively
- Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to identify data-related issues and ensure data quality and integrity
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data solutions to recommend and implement improvements to existing systems

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

- Bachelor’s in computer science or IT degree required
- 8 to 10 years SQL, SCALA, AKKA/PEKKO, data modelling experience required
- 5 to 8 years of big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)



and data pipeline and workflow management tools experience required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address data-related challenges
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members
- 2 to 3 years of AKKA/PEKKO
- 5 years of Scala experience
- Databricks
