Job Title: Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Toronto, ON(hybrid)

Duration: Long term contract

Rate: CAD50-CAD52/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building backend microservices and modern web applications using Angular or React. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with external/internal systems.
- Build responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using Angular or React.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and production support activities.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.




- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and actively participate in sprint ceremonies.

Required Skills

- Strong experience with Java (8/11/17+).
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and REST APIs.
- Experience developing Microservices-based applications.
- Proficiency in Angular OR React.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Robust understanding of SDLC, design patterns, and Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

- Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth, and Authentication/Authorization frameworks.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack application development.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
