Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journey Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across a variety of projects, including residential new builds and renovations as well as commercial tenant improvements. Your expertise will ensure that structures are built to precise specifications, safe standards, and the high-quality standards that Quadrant delivers.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide your work.
- Knowledge and understanding of National/Alberta building codes or experience looking up information.
- Perform rough carpentry. Layout and install stud walls and structural framing, structural beams, stairs, window and doors, additions, concrete forming.
- Perform finishing carpentry. Layout and install interior/exterior doors, base and case, intricate mouldings, closet organizers, hang finishing design material.
- Bring discrepancies and special conditions to the attention of the site Project Manager.
- Perform concrete forming and rebar installation to support foundational work on small-scale projects.
- Assist the Project Manager with take-offs and material requirements.
- Occasionally apply construction painting,
caulking, and sealing techniques to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal.
- Assist with plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems as needed to support comprehensive project completion.
Requirements
- Journey Carpenter ticket.
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry and woodworking.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, other typical construction tools.
- Knowledge of framing.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, flooring installation.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project needs quickly.
- Class 5 license and a vehicle to get to and from site.
