Journeyperson Welder (Red Seal) – Fly-In Fly-Out Camp Work (Remote)

Role Overview You will support the project team at a remote site by performing welding, fabrication, assembly, installation, and repairs for mobile and heavy equipment.

Reports to: Mechanical Manager

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

- Inspect, troubleshoot, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair mobile & heavy equipment
- Perform manual welding and welding repairs using relevant processes including:
- ARC & GAS welding
- flame cutting
- brazing & soldering

- Complete daily equipment inspections and ensure maintenance/repairs are completed
- Order parts and materials required for work scopes
- Support site clean-up and preparation, including rubbish removal




- Complete documentation according to process/protocol to support cost control and budgeting
- Produce quality workmanship aligned with industry and stakeholder expectations
- Read and interpret blueprints/drawings (basic understanding)
- Attend daily Toolbox meetings and support monthly site inspections
- Work safely using safe work practices and follow safe job procedures
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and accidents immediately
- Contribute as a high-performing team member

Required Qualifications
- Journeyperson Welder (Red Seal)
- Minimum 3+ years experience in field construction and/or camp settings
- Ability to work a rotation schedule (FIFO)
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks according to work schedule
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maintain performance during a 10–12 hour shift
- Comfortable working in a remote camp environment

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Previous experience working in remote camps
- Proficiency in all aspects of welding, fabrication, repair, and replacement
- Standard First Aid, WHMIS Certification
