Job Summary

Becks Electric is seeking a motivated Journeyperson Electrician or 1st/2nd Year Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team.

We perform a variety of residential and commercial electrical work, including new installations, renovations, service work, troubleshooting, lighting, and permanent exterior lighting installations.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, works safely, and is willing to learn. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and continue developing their skills in a hands-on environment.

Duties

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and technical information.
- Install electrical distribution, lighting, controls, devices, equipment, and low-voltage systems.
- Perform electrical work associated with renovations, additions, service work, and new construction.
- Safely and efficiently use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and electrical testing equipment.
- Install permanent exterior/holiday lighting systems.
- Identify electrical issues and assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ensure installations meet applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and Becks Electric workmanship standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and take proper care of company tools and equipment.
- Work independently when appropriate and effectively alongside other electricians,



apprentices, contractors, and customers.

Qualifications

- Registered electrical apprentice (1st or 2nd year) or certified Journeyperson Electrician.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safe work practices appropriate to your level of apprenticeship.
- Ability to perform physical electrical work, including working from ladders and at heights.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The following are considered assets but are not required:

- Residential and/or commercial electrical experience.
- Renovation and service experience.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Experience reading blueprints and electrical drawings.
- Permanent exterior/holiday lighting installation experience.

Pay: $18.00-$38.00 per hour
