Khione Resources is seeking a Journeyperson Plumber and a Journeyperson HVAC Technician to join our team at a remote mine site in the NWT. Reporting to the Site Services Department, you will play a critical role in the operations of the Gahcho Kue mine site, ensuring the repair, care and maintenance of various equipment, systems and preventative maintenance programs at Gahcho Kue. Positions will be on a 2x2 rotation, allowing you to work on challenging projects while enjoying a balanced lifestyle.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the development of planned maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Properly maintain equipment and facility systems through scheduled or emergency repairs and maintenance.
- Complete Work Orders and log routine daily reports.
- Monitor, diagnose, and repair equipment and facility systems according to proper procedures.
- Maintain commercial and industrial equipment and systems for water supply, drainage, water treatment, fire prevention and waste oil burner systems (Plumber).
- Maintain commercial refrigeration heating, ventilation, A/C systems (HVAC).
- Follow all Company specific safety protocols and Safety, Health & Environment policies and procedures.

Requirements:
- Certified Journeyman or Red Seal in the respective trade with a minimum of 4 years of work experience.
- Ability to problem solve, organize and multi-task.




- Ability to work in a remote and cross-cultural work environment, working day/night shift on a rotational basis.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience working in an industrial setting, preferably mining.
- Experience with commercial and industrial water treatment equipment, plumbing systems and fire prevention systems and waste oil burning systems (Plumbing)
- Experience with commercial chillers, coolers, cooling towers, A/C systems, MUA’s, RTU’s and Hydronic Equipment (HVAC)
- Experience with waste oil burning systems is considered an asset (HVAC).
- Additional Journeyman or other trade certificates are considered an asset.
- Ability to work outside in a cold environment and working at heights with various types of elevated work platforms.
