Job Overview
This is a newly created role for someone early in their accounting career who wants more than routine data entry.
As Junior
Accountant, you’ll get hands-on exposure across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management for our Great White Car Wash operations, plus visibility into month-end close, financial statements, and audit support. It’s a strong fit for a candidate working toward their CPA designation who wants to build a broad foundation across multiple entities and business models rather than a single narrow function.
Key Responsibilities: Great White Car Wash Accounting
- Support accounts receivable (A/R) for Excellent White Car Wash operations, including invoicing and collections follow-up.
- Process and track customer payments.
- Support accounts payable (A/P) for Great White Car Wash operations, ensuring accurate coding and timely processing.
- Prepare and process cheque runs.
- Assist with the preparation and support of monthly GST submissions.
- Support day-to-day cash management, including monitoring balances and transfers as needed.
- Manage and reconcile corporate credit cards for Excellent White Car Wash.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and journal entries.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and support account reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Support the year-end audit process, including preparing documentation and working papers.
- Process and review employee expense reports.
- Investigate and resolve billing and invoice discrepancies.
- Assist with payment processing and vendor account reconciliations.
- Maintain prepaid expenses, accruals, deposits, and other balance sheet schedules.
- Help maintain organized digital and physical accounting records.
- Assist with process improvements and accounting system updates.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by management.
Assets Under Management Support
- Support the Staff Accountant with the monthly import and posting of financial data related to assets under management.
Qualifications Education & Experience
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent working experience.
- Prior experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role is an asset; 0–3 years of relevant experience is a good fit for this role.
- QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience would be an asset.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid understanding of A/R, A/P, and basic GST requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing recurring, deadline-driven tasks such as cheque runs and cash management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Staff Accountant and broader finance team.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and general comfort with Excel.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
