What the Job Looks Like:

We are currently seeking a Full Time Junior Dispatcher to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. This is an entry-level position responsible for developing the knowledge and skills required to effectively coordinate drivers, equipment, customer requirements, and daily transportation operations. The Junior Dispatcher works within established procedures and receives guidance and support from experienced dispatchers and management.

In this role, you can expect to:

- Assist with the daily scheduling and dispatching of drivers and equipment.
- Communicate assignments and instructions to drivers.
- Monitor driver progress and provide updates as required.
- Assist with routine schedule changes and operational issues.
- Communicate with customers, terminals, drivers, and internal departments.
- Enter and maintain accurate information in applicable systems.
- Follow established dispatch procedures and company policies.
- Escalate unusual or complex issues to an experienced dispatcher or manager.
- Develop knowledge of routes, customers, equipment, and operational requirements.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Have an interest in developing a career in transportation, logistics, or supply chain




- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
- A customer-focused mindset and commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- The ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Post-secondary education in Transportation, Logistics, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is considered an asset
- Previous transportation, logistics, customer service, or administrative experience is considered an asset.
