Wood is recruiting for a Junior / Intermediate Piping Designer to join its Canada Projects business focusing on Piping Design within an EPC environment. This chance is Hybrid.

The Role

Wood is seeking a motivated and energetic Junior / Intermediate Piping Designer to support the execution of projects within the Canada Projects business unit. The successful candidate will provide piping design and drafting support, developing 2D and 3D models and drawings while working with multidisciplinary teams and adhering to applicable industry standards.

Responsibilities

Create and develop 3D models using various modeling software

Draft 2D drawings with minimal supervision

Create GAs and Plot Plans

Model large equipment

Review and comment on vendor information

Adhere to industry codes and standards

Expected

- Engineering Design and Drafting Technology diploma or related technical diploma or certificate

2+ years of experience in piping design and layout Experience with design software

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship

Desirable

- Previous project experience in Upstream Oil Sands

Experience with additional piping design and drafting software
