Overview

Our small restaurant is looking for a reliable, energetic kitchen helper to join our team. We're a small local cantine, so we're looking for someone to jump in, help where needed, and be part of the team. Experience is an asset, but a good attitude and willingness to adapt and learn are even more important.

Duties

- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards

- Support the cooking process by following instructions from chefs and ensuring timely meal delivery

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards

- Handle food safely by practicing proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures

- Support the kitchen team with inventory management, including restocking supplies and checking expiration dates





- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for staff and customers

Experience

- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided

- Familiarity with food handling procedures, meal preparation techniques, and cooking basics is advantageous

- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within the food industry is highly valued

- Experience working in a quick-paced setting demonstrates your ability to multitask effectively under pressure

- Strong teamwork skills combined with excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
