Duties

- Supervise all kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and conducting interviews to build a motivated and skilled team
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency
- Manage food handling procedures in accordance with safety regulations to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless serving and excellent customer service experiences
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage food costs to optimize profitability
- Operate POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy




- Enforce food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health department standards at all times

Skills

- Proven supervising experience within restaurant or food service environments
- Robust knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment operation
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse staff members
- Experience with restaurant management systems like Micros
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while managing cash handling procedures
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, proper food handling practices, and hygiene standards
- Previous experience in a hospitality settings is advantageous; barista experience is a plus
- Effective communication skills for interviewing candidates and coordinating team efforts
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and foster a positive work environment
