Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Kitchen Production Cook to join our commissary kitchen in Richmond Hill, where we prepare baked goods, breads, savoury products, and other items for our bakery locations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, able to work efficiently in a production workplace, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, organization, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare recipes from scratch and cook savoury products, including pie and sandwich fillings.
- Prepare and assemble pies, turnovers, sandwiches, and other savoury products.
- Assist with bakery and general food production as required.
- Follow recipes, portioning standards, and established production procedures.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment, including skillets, combi ovens, kettles, meat slicers, food processors, and vacuum sealers.
- Properly store, label, rotate, and handle food products.
- Maintain workstations, equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Complete daily production efficiently and within required timelines.
- Support the kitchen team and other production duties as required.

Requirements




- Minimum 1 year of production kitchen or similar food-preparation experience preferred.
- Previous cooking experience preferred.
- Food Handler/Food Safety Certification required.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and procedures accurately.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability to work weekdays and weekends as scheduled.
- Flexibility to work different shifts based on operational needs.
