Kitchen Staff (All-Rounder) – Mr. Tonkatsu

Job Overview

Join the kitchen team at Mr. Tonkatsu, specializing in authentic Japanese pork cutlet dishes. We are looking for a dependable and adaptable Kitchen Staff member to support our day-to-day operations. In this all-around role, you will handle a mix of daily food prep, easy line cooking, and dishwashing in a steady, collaborative, and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist with daily food preparation, including meat trimming, panko breading, vegetable prep (cabbage shredding), and sauce portioning.
- Support line cooking duties and operate fryer stations to prepare menu items according to established standards.
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, cookware, and utensils to maintain an orderly kitchen flow.
- Keep workstations, prep tables, and equipment clean and sanitized throughout the shift.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene,



and proper ingredient storage guidelines.
- Assist with opening, closing, restocking, and general kitchen upkeep.
- Collaborate smoothly with team members to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant is preferred, but willing beginners are welcome to apply.
- Adaptability and willingness to handle a variety of tasks across prep, cooking, and dishwashing.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive, cooperative attitude.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and evenings as needed.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
