Job Summary

As a Landscape Crew Member, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on residential and commercial landscaping projects.

Your responsibilities will include concrete preparation and installation, turf and grass installation, paving and stonework, fencing, retaining walls, soil preparation, grading, and general landscape construction. You’ll assist with site preparation, moving and installing materials, using basic landscaping tools and equipment, and keeping job sites clean and organized. This is a hands-on position where you’ll work alongside an experienced crew and develop practical skills in landscaping, construction, and outdoor site work.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the installation and maintenance of landscape features, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass areas
- Operate various power tools and hand tools safely to perform tasks such as trimming, edging, and pruning
- Use mechanical equipment like excavators for site preparation and landscaping projects
- Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and health of plants
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control
- Maintain equipment through basic mechanical knowledge and ensure all tools are used safely and properly




- You will learn how to use machines and equipment on sight as training

Skills

- Experience operating construction machinery such as excavators is preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and troubleshooting is a plus
- Strong gardening and horticulture skills with an understanding of plant health and soil management
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control
- Mechanical aptitude for maintaining hand tools and power equipment
- Ability to read blueprints or construction plans is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards
