Job Title: Legal Administrator

We are currently seeking a Legal Administrator to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Organize and maintain files, documents, and case records for active and closed matters, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with firm protocols.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients, schedule meetings, and provide updates on case status.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate appointments, court dates, and meetings, and ensure all parties are informed of schedules and deadlines.
- Administrative Support: Answer phone calls, manage incoming and outgoing mail, file correspondence, and maintain office supplies.
- File Management: File and retrieve legal documents with courts and agencies, both electronically and in hard copy, and organize them accordingly.
- Billing: Accurately record billable time and disbursements,
and bill clients in accordance with Legal Aid Ontario tariff guidelines and firm billing protocols, for both certificate and cash accounts.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in legal file management (criminal law and/or Legal Aid Ontario billing is an asset).
