LEAD HAND – LANDSCAPING & SNOW REMOVAL

Year-Round Opportunity

Lux Landscaping – Calgary & Cochrane Area

We’re looking for a strong, reliable Lead Hand to join our team immediately.

The position will start with finishing the summer landscaping season, move into fall cleanups, and transition directly into our snow-removal operations for the winter—with the opportunity for year-round employment for the right person.

We’re looking for someone who can take responsibility for a crew, keep jobs moving efficiently, and isn’t afraid to work alongside the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead and work alongside a small landscaping and snow-removal crew
- Drive company trucks and pull equipment trailers
- Load, secure, and transport equipment safely
- Complete commercial property maintenance
- Perform fall cleanups and other seasonal work
- Complete snow and ice removal during the winter
- Ensure jobs are completed properly and efficiently
- Communicate with management regarding properties, crews, and equipment

REQUIREMENTS:

- Valid driver’s licence – REQUIRED
- Solid truck and trailer experience – REQUIRED
- Comfortable backing, parking, and maneuvering equipment trailers
- Previous landscaping, property maintenance,



or snow-removal experience strongly preferred
- Previous Lead Hand or crew-leadership experience is an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Physically capable and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to operate landscaping and snow-removal equipment
- Must be available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight work during snow events

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices what needs to be done without constantly being told, and can be trusted to take responsibility for a crew and equipment. THIS IS NOT JUST A SHORT-TERM SUMMER POSITION.

We want someone who can finish the season with us, transition into snow removal, and potentially build toward a long-term, year-round position with Lux Landscaping.

Competitive wage based on experience and ability.
