Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician & Estimator to join our team. This pivotal role combines hands-on technical leadership with precise project estimation, ensuring the successful execution of low voltage systems across diverse construction projects. As a leader in this field, you will oversee installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low voltage systems while guiding a team of technicians to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise low voltage installation teams, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and best practices.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to CCTV, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, telecommunication wiring, and networking setups.
- Prepare accurate estimates for low voltage projects by assessing site conditions, material requirements, labor costs, and project scope.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and vendors to ensure timely procurement of components such as power supplies, sensors, hand tools, power tools, and mechanical hardware.
- Install and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV surveillance cameras, access control (IDS), sensors, telecommunication lines, and computer networking infrastructure.




- Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with electrical codes and schematics.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed, including project estimates, installation procedures, test results, and service reports.

Qualifications

- Proven experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to low voltage systems.
- Strong background in construction environments with hands-on electrical experience involving CCTV, sensors, IDS systems, telecommunication wiring, and computer networking.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency using hand tools and power tools for installation tasks.
- Familiarity with computer hardware setup and troubleshooting as it relates to networked security systems.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical documents accurately while following safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide technicians through complex installations and troubleshooting processes.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
