We are seeking a dynamic Process Engineer to join our team and support our growing organization. This position is well suited for an individual who is passionate about leading projects and working closely with all Keywest disciplines and clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented in providing solutions to complex problems supporting various oil and gas projects within tight timeframes.

Responsibilities may Include but not limited to:

· Review project execution for effectiveness, soundness of judgment and adherence to applicable codes and practices

· Provide leadership, appraisal and training of subordinates

· Contribute toward setting company Process deliverables standards

· Participate in the planning and organization of large projects and joint ventures

· Participate in business development with perspective clients

· Contributes toward the development of new work methods, software, tools and standards

· Sets work priorities and the planning, organization, allocation and review of varied and complex tasks

· Plans and schedules the work and manpower to meet project milestones

· Provides project updates,



deliverables and manpower estimates for project management

· Interfaces with other project discipline leads and Project Engineering/Management

· Organizes and facilitates discipline team meetings

· Process detailed design, including but not limited to:

- Modeling of client processes in Promax, Hysys, Symmetry, spreadsheets and other software tools available.
- Process evaluation, optimization and debottlenecking studies
- Evaluation and recommendation of technological solutions for client requirements, both new and industry standard technologies
- BFD, PFD and P&ID; Generation
- Equipment sizing & selection c/w generation of data sheet
- Control system definition c/w data sheets
- Development of process design tools, spreadsheets and procedures to streamline design efforts and better define direction for junior staff
- Provide Process Engineering input to project deliverables such as DBM’s; cost estimates; project schedules; Engineered drawing development, quality control, checking and sign-off; equipment sizing, specifications and datasheets; equipment and material requests for quotes, contract preparation including scope of work (EWP), bid preparation, evaluation and award
- Maintain and grow a working knowledge of the applicable design codes and standards
- Offer assistance to other projects and employees on an as needed basis
- Participate in,



and assist in facilitating, HAZOP (Hazards and Operability Study) and PHAs (Process Hazards Analysis)
- Occasional travel to site for, information gathering, Plant Performance Testing, P&ID; Checks, startup activities or troubleshooting tasks

Qualifications: The qualified candidate will, as a minimum, hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical or Process Engineering preferred) and will be registered as a professional engineer in the province of Alberta.

In addition to 10+ years of specific experience in the oil and gas upstream facilities and pipelines with an EPCM or producer company, the eligible candidate will possess the following:

- The ability to organize, motivate and lead a team of engineers
- Relevant experience in engineering sweet or sour natural gas, and conventional/heavy oil facilities
- Knowledge of applicable provincial, federal and industry codes.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- A desire to be a strong team player and contributor in a dynamic, quality focused organization
