Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator for a 12-month remote contract opportunity in Canada. In this role, you will support enterprise learning initiatives across multiple regions by configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the enterprise SumTotal LMS platform. Working as part of a team-oriented team, you will ensure accurate audience targeting, compliance with training requirements, and efficient execution of day-to-day LMS operations while maintaining high standards of data integrity and user experience.

Responsibilities

- Audience Scoping & Configuration: Lead reviews of audience requirements with course owners and stakeholders, build and quality-check LMS audiences against approval documentation, create Audience Approval Documents, and manage post-launch audience modifications.
- LMS Operations: Process Business Learning Needs Requests (LNRs) and maintenance requests, complete LMS testing and configuration for eLearning courses, and set up Instructor-Led and Virtual training sessions.
- Collaboration & Support: Partner cross-functionally with Learning Solutions Architects, Program Managers, L&D; Designers, and HR data teams to provide expert guidance on LMS capabilities and best practices.
- Documentation & Compliance: Complete LMS Specifications Documentation, maintain comprehensive records of configuration decisions and approvals,



and enforce adherence to regulatory and operational standards.

Requirements

- Must-Have Skills:
- 5–10 years of experience in LMS platform administration, specifically with SumTotal LMS.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply HR data for precise audience targeting in enterprise LMS environments.
- Hands-on experience utilizing ticketing systems and workflow management tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Prior experience within the financial services sector.
- Bachelor’s degree or background in Adult Learning & Development, Instructional Design, HR, or a related field.
- Industry certifications in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Human Performance Technology.
