Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic LightWELD Handheld Laser Welder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate advanced handheld laser welding equipment to create precise, durable welds on various metal components. Your expertise will help ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our production processes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Operate the LightWELD handheld laser welding system to perform high-quality welds on metal parts and assemblies
- Prepare materials by cleaning and positioning components according to schematics and blueprints
- Conduct routine inspections of welds for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure accurate fit-up and alignment
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling laser equipment and related machinery
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports and process logs
- Assist with setup,



calibration, and troubleshooting of laser welding equipment as needed

Requirements

- Proven experience with welding techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), or plasma cutting is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with rigging, machining, press brake machines, and ductwork fabrication is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measurement instruments accurately
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication processes
- Construction or manufacturing experience preferred; forklift certification is a plus
- Strong understanding of schematics and assembly instructions for precise execution
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
