We are seeking a skilled Indian Line Cook specializing in Tandoor and Appetizer preparation to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary talents in a fast-paced setting dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes, including tandoori items and appetizers, ensuring authenticity and quality.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as marinating, chopping, and assembling ingredients for various menu items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the cooking process.
- Serve dishes promptly to ensure freshness and presentation standards are met.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation during busy service hours.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation,
cooking, and food service within a restaurant or food industry setting.
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine, particularly Tandoor cooking techniques and appetizer creation.
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Flexibility to work during restaurant hours, a typical shift will start from 5 pm to 11:30 pm weekend availablity is must including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with commercial tandoor ovens
- Basic knowledge of Indo-Chinese cooking
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
