Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled BC Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods within the local and BC area, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as adherence to safety regulations.

The Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellent service and operational efficiency. Almost always, all loads will be different. Sometimes... over weight/size loads.

Duties

- Safely operate company vehicle to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Be able to use in truck ELD to record inspections and trailer number.
- Sleeper Truck is an Automatic. Phone app required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and delivery times with phone app provided.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Report immediately any repairs or issues with the truck.
- At all times, treat everyone you interact with, with respect and communicate clearly and effortlessly.

Experience

- Minimum 5 years daily experience in BC for Class 1 driving, hold a valid BC driver's license and clean driving record. NO LMIA positions. Only Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident position currently available.




- Prior experience with flat deck, step deck and double drop trailers (Btrain a bonus), freight handling procedures and safety protocols is essential. Strapping and chaining experience skillset and proper weight distribution is a must.
- Forklift and other devices to load trailers is a bonus. A true Go-Getter, someone who can think on the fly for the best outcome.
- Understanding the mechanics of a truck or maintenance is a plus, enabling the driver to perform minor repairs on the road if required.
- WHIMIS, and First Aid are a bonus. Safety on the road and protected loads are of utmost importance.

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
