Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Log Truck Driver to join our team and play a vital role in transporting logs efficiently and safely from forest sites to processing facilities. This energetic position requires a motivated individual who thrives in outdoor environments, demonstrates excellent driving skills, and maintains a solid commitment to safety and operational excellence. As a key member of our logistics team, you will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy-duty log trucks with precision, ensuring safe loading, transportation, and unloading of timber products.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Load logs onto trucks using forklifts or other heavy equipment, following proper safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of freight deliveries, routes, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site personnel, and other drivers to coordinate schedules and delivery times.
- Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including hours-of-service rules.




- Perform routine automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to keep trucks in optimal condition.

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating freight trucks, preferably within logging or heavy equipment industries.
- Skilled in forklift operation and capable of safely handling freight during loading and unloading processes.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation related to forestry or logging activities.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
- Solid understanding of safety procedures related to commercial driving, heavy equipment use, and forestry operations.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours outdoors, including lifting logs or equipment as needed.
