Duties

- Operate heavy logging equipment such as processors, skidders, and loaders to process logs efficiently
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Use hand tools and power tools for equipment adjustments, repairs, and site preparation tasks
- Assist with landscape maintenance around the logging site to ensure secure access and environmental compliance
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology for mapping and logging site planning




- Drive commercial vehicles to transport logs between processing areas and storage yards following safety protocols
- Perform quality checks on processed logs, ensuring they meet industry standards and specifications
- 50 hrs a week minimum
- log Loader style processor

Experience

- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on heavy equipment
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment for routine repairs and adjustments
- Valid class 5 licence
- Prior experience in forestry operations or logging industry highly desirable
