Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator / Quality Control Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this dual role, you will oversee quality inspections of raw materials and finished goods while managing outbound freight, order staging, and shipping logistics.

A strong candidate brings hands-on familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing standards, freight carrier coordination, and shop floor quality assurance. Experience with SolidWorks, Revit, or AutoCAD is highly valued and provides opportunities to assist with product submittals, production drawings, and CAD file validation.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control

- Inspect orders against shop drawings, customer specifications, and testing standards standards prior to packaging.
- Verify dimensions, gauge thickness, blade alignment, damper linkage smooth operation, and fuse link/actuator installation.
- Maintain quality logs, track non-conformance issues, and work with the production team to implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper product labeling, serialization, and inclusion of packing slips with outbound orders.

Logistics & Shipping

- Coordinate outbound LTL, full truckload, and courier shipments for regional and national delivery.
- Stage, crate, and skid-wrap finished goods to prevent freight damage during transit.
- Generate shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and commercial invoices.
- Communicate delivery schedules with freight dispatchers, sales staff, and customer receiving teams.

Inventory Management

- Manage stock levels for raw materials (steel coils, actuators,



hardware) and finished goods using ERP/WMS systems.
- Lead regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits; reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Oversee material receiving, verification, and put-away, ensuring accurate documentation of all stock movements.
- Anticipate material shortages and communicate procurement needs to purchasing/production planning.

Technical Support / CAD

- Review incoming production drawings and customer submittals against physical shop output.
- Provide occasional support in viewing, adjusting, or generating 2D/3D models for custom HVAC configurations.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Shipping/logistics coordination and quality control within a sheet metal, HVAC, or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with structural sheet metal fabrication, hardware assemblies, and quality compliance processes.
- Drafting Software: Experience with SolidWorks, Revit, or AutoCAD is strongly preferred and carries additional compensation consideration.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and standard ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Physical & Communication: Solid communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and ability to comfortably handle shop floor inspections and freight staging.
- Current WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification.
- First Aid / CPR training preferred.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
