Lounge, Events & Revenue Manager

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON

Job Type: Full-Time / Flexible Schedule

Pay: $20–$27 per hour + performance incentives

Schedule: Evenings and weekends required

About the Role

Studio of Legends is looking for a Lounge, Events & Revenue Manager to take ownership of our private lounge and event space in Downtown Toronto.

This is not simply a floor-manager position.

We are looking for someone who can operate the space, build a strong hospitality team, generate bookings, develop events and increase revenue.

Our lounge operates differently from a traditional restaurant or nightclub. The space serves our existing studio clientele while also hosting private bookings, birthdays, listening events, corporate events, networking events, themed nights, live entertainment and other experiences.

The right person will be given the opportunity to help turn the lounge into a consistently profitable operation.

Your ResponsibilitiesRevenue & Business Development

- Develop strategies to increase weekly and monthly lounge revenue
- Generate and convert leads for private events and venue rentals
- Build relationships with event planners, promoters, businesses, creators and organizations
- Follow up with inquiries and help convert them into paid bookings
- Develop packages, promotions and upsells that increase customer spending
- Identify new revenue opportunities for the space
- Track bookings, leads, event revenue and weekly performance
- Work toward clear monthly revenue targets

Events & Programming
- Develop and manage a consistent calendar of profitable events and experiences
- Coordinate birthdays, private parties, corporate functions, listening events, networking events and other bookings
- Manage events from initial planning through setup, execution and closing
- Coordinate DJs, hosts, entertainment,



security and outside vendors when required
- Ensure every event is properly staffed and prepared before guests arrive
- Help determine which events should be repeated, improved or discontinued based on performance

Lounge Operations
- Take ownership of day-to-day lounge operations
- Create staff schedules based on bookings and expected traffic
- Manage opening and closing procedures
- Maintain excellent standards for customer service, cleanliness and presentation
- Oversee POS transactions, cash handling and daily reconciliation
- Monitor inventory and prevent unnecessary waste
- Ensure applicable food-service and safety requirements are followed
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and quickly

Team Leadership
- Help recruit, interview and train lounge/event staff
- Build a reliable team capable of operating without constant owner supervision
- Assign responsibilities before every event
- Hold staff accountable for attendance, service and performance
- Develop clear operating procedures for the lounge
- Lead by example during busy events

Who We're Looking For We are especially interested in candidates who have experience in event venues, hospitality, restaurants, hotels, nightlife, private clubs, entertainment venues or event sales.

You should have

- 2+ years of hospitality, event or venue management experience
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience coordinating private events




- Strong sales and customer-service ability
- Confidence communicating with potential clients and closing bookings
- Strong understanding of hospitality operations
- Experience hiring, scheduling and managing staff
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to operate independently and solve problems without constant direction

Experience with event sales, venue rentals, partnerships, nightlife programming or business development is a major advantage.

We are not looking for someone who simply keeps the lounge open.

A successful manager will

- Increase private-event bookings
- Grow monthly lounge revenue
- Develop successful recurring events
- Build relationships that bring current customers into the space
- Increase spending from existing customers
- Build and manage a dependable lounge staff
- Maintain strong guest experiences
- Create systems that allow the lounge to operate consistently without ownership managing every shift

Compensation $20–$27/hour depending on experience

Performance incentives and/or commission opportunities are available based on new business, private bookings and revenue growth.

There is significant opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation as the lounge grows.
