Hamilton Montessori School is looking for a warm, caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Lunch Supervisor to join our growing school community.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and would like to become part of a welcoming and supportive school environment.

Our Lunch Supervisor plays an key role in the daily life of our school. Beyond supervising lunchtime, you will help create a calm, organized, safe, and enjoyable mealtime experience for our students while working closely with our teachers and administrative team.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in being organized, enjoys helping others, is comfortable around children, and understands the importance of cleanliness, food safety, allergies, and dietary requirements.

What You’ll Do:

As our Lunch Supervisor, you will:

- Help organize and prepare the lunchroom before students arrive
- Receive, organize, portion, and distribute meals appropriately
- Carefully follow student allergy, dietary, and food restriction requirements
- Supervise and support children during lunch and break periods
- Help create a calm, positive, and enjoyable atmosphere during mealtimes
- Encourage good hygiene, independence, courtesy, and appropriate mealtime routines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lunchroom
- Support the health, safety, and well-being of our students
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other members of our school team
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining an inventory of designated school and lunchroom supplies
- Help ensure supplies are organized and replenished when needed
- Contribute positively to the warm, respectful, and caring culture of Hamilton Montessori School

Previous experience in a school, childcare centre, kitchen, cafeteria, food-service, lunchroom, or similar environment would be an asset, but we are also happy to consider the right person who is enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn.

Requirements

- CPR and First Aid Certification — training can be provided by Hamilton Montessori School if required
- Food Handler Certificate — training can be provided by Hamilton Montessori School if required
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- High School Diploma preferred

Position Details Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week

Location: Stoney Creek, Ontario
