Position Overview A financial-services organization is seeking a Mainframe Application Performance Specialist to create automated reporting, dashboards, and performance insights for critical core-banking platforms.

Specific Functions of This Role:

- Create automated application dashboard using mainframe data to provide insight on core banking platform performance, transaction trends and KPIs
- Work closely with senior leaders to create insightful metrics to drive business cases
- Support mainframe optimization by creating KPIs to measure application usage by both business and technology drivers, in order to support a variety of strategic decisions
- Leverage AI to build automated, maintainable processes with new data sources not currently utilized

Responsibilities

- Design automated dashboards using mainframe production data.
- Report on platform performance, transaction trends, and operational KPIs.
- Partner with senior leaders to define actionable metrics.
- Build reporting that supports optimization and investment decisions.
- Measure application usage through business and technology drivers.
- Integrate new data sources into maintainable reporting processes.
- Use automation and AI-assisted approaches where appropriate.
- Communicate technical insights to application owners and executives.

Qualifications:

- In-depth knowledge of mainframe production environments, data and related tools like Power BI, Dynatrace, Intellimagic
- 10 - 15+ years of mainframe experience with large financial systems with focus on performance, reporting and dashboard creation for a variety of stakeholder groups including application owners and executives
- Knowledge of CICS, DB2, coding are assets
- Extensive experience with large mainframe production environments.
- Mainframe performance, capacity, reporting, or operational analytics experience.
- Dashboard and KPI development for technical and executive audiences.




- Experience working with large financial or transaction-processing systems.
- Strong data interpretation and communication skills.
- Ability to automate maintainable reporting processes.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Power BI.
- Dynatrace.
- IntelliMagic.
- CICS and DB2.
- Mainframe coding knowledge.
- AI-enabled analytics or automation.
