Our client is looking Mainframe Developer for Long Term project in Mississauga, ON (Onsite) Below is the detail requirement.

Role Name: Mainframe Developer

Location: Mississauga, ON

Summary:

As a Senior Developer, you will be working in a development and support capacity on our core mainframe cards and transactions system.

The core application is a large, sophisticated mainframe-based system which connects clients to their banking products and services. This 24/7 application supports critical delivery channels such as Online Banking, POS, ATM and others.

What you will do?

- Design, develop, test, deploy, support and evolve software to deliver banking services.
- Lead conversion, attestation and audit initiatives
- Manage individual priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
- Assess and analyze business and technical requirements in order to provide estimates and establish plans and timelines
- Create,



update and contribute to critical documentation relevant to the projects
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and various IT partners
- Available for after-hours production support when needed (rare)

What do you need to succeed? Must-have

- Completion of a post-secondary education
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
- Robust background in software Maintenance especially mainframe
- Expertise in COBOL, JCL, IMS (DB/Online/Batch), DB2, MQSeries, Git/Endevor and Zeke

Nice-to-have

- Understanding/usage of z/OS Connect, IDz, zUnit and test automation
- Experience with CI/CD mainframe pipeline
- Familiarity with Java Cloud development
