Maintenance Worker The Briars Resort

Jackson’s Point, Georgina, ON The Briars Resort is looking for a reliable, hands-on and experienced Full-Time Maintenance Worker to join our team and help keep our hotel, cottages, grounds and facilities operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Perform general repairs and maintenance, including toilets, faucets, door hardware, locks, drywall, painting and furniture repairs
- Carry out routine property maintenance and daily facility checks
- Assist with pool cleaning, beach cleanup, garbage and recycling
- Support landscaping and general outdoor property maintenance
- Perform seasonal work, including snow removal, salting, winterization and outdoor furniture/dock setup and storage
- Assist with table and chair setup and teardown for weddings, banquets and events
- Identify maintenance issues and report problems requiring licensed trades or specialized repairs
- Complete maintenance checklists and basic photo reports as required

Qualifications
- Strong general handyman and maintenance skills
- Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently
- Able to identify when electrical, gas,



structural or other specialized work requires a licensed professional
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions
- Functional English communication skills
- Valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s licence
- Flexible availability, including weekends and occasional evening/night coverage
- Previous hotel, resort, building maintenance or property maintenance experience is preferred
- WHMIS and pool maintenance experience are assets; training can be provided
