We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Maintenance Worker with solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to support our food-processing operation. The successful candidate will help maintain production equipment and facility systems, respond to breakdowns, and support equipment reliability and production uptime.

Responsibilities

- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on food-processing and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues within the scope of training, competency, and authorization.
- Maintain and repair pumps, motors, conveyors, and other production equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime.
- Perform general building and facility maintenance as required.
- Inspect equipment, identify worn, damaged, defective, or potentially unsafe components, and communicate maintenance concerns.
- Identify required parts and assist with parts ordering and maintenance-shop organization.
- Coordinate with contractors and external service providers as directed.
- Complete applicable maintenance records, work orders, and preventive-maintenance documentation.
- Safely use applicable hand tools, power tools, maintenance tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical instructions, diagrams, and maintenance documentation.
- Follow applicable workplace safety, PPE, food-safety, sanitation, hygiene, equipment de-energization/lockout,



and safe-work requirements.
- Perform maintenance activities in a manner that protects food, ingredients, packaging, equipment, and processing areas from contamination.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Perform other reasonable duties from time to time based on operational and business needs, provided the work can be performed safely and the employee is appropriately trained, qualified, and authorized where required.

Equipment, Physical & Work Environment

- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs., with assistance or appropriate equipment where required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and other physical maintenance activities.
- Comfortable working in an active food-processing environment that may include cold, refrigerated, wet, damp, noisy, and temperature-variable areas and working around production machinery and mobile equipment.
- Must be comfortable working at elevated locations and using required fall-protection equipment where applicable.
- Must be willing and able to operate forklifts, scissor lifts/elevating work platforms, ladders, and other applicable maintenance or material-handling equipment as required.
- Previous forklift and/or elevating work platform experience is an asset; required training and authorization may be provided by the Company.




- Must be willing to complete required safety and equipment-specific training and demonstrate competency before independently operating equipment requiring training or authorization.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience; experience in a manufacturing or food-processing environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Reliable, organized, adaptable, and safety focused.
- Ability to prioritize work and respond to changing operational requirements.
- Ability to use a computerized Maintenance Management System and basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Welding/fabrication and electrical experience are assets.
- Ability to recognize when work requires additional authorization, specialized expertise, or a qualified/licensed tradesperson and escalate appropriately.
- Ability to work occasional overtime or outside regularly scheduled hours when operational or maintenance requirements arise.
- A valid driver's licence is considered an asset.

Compensation $35.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

The anticipated starting rate may be approximately $37.50 per hour for a suitably qualified candidate. Compensation will be reviewed following successful completion of the probationary period based on performance, demonstrated competency, experience and qualifications, with progression available within the wage range up to $40.00 per hour.
