What You’ll Do

Wahous Wilderness Lodge is seeking a reliable, hands-on, and versatile Maintenance Worker to support the day-to-day upkeep and operations of the lodge. This position plays an important role in maintaining the property, buildings, grounds, equipment, and guest areas while providing support across housekeeping and general lodge operations as needed.

The ideal candidate is practical, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working outdoors and performing a variety of physical tasks in a remote hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Groundskeeping: Maintaining outdoor spaces, trails, gardens, and decks; assisting with landscaping tasks and general upkeep.
- Facilities & Maintenance: Supporting repairs, preventative maintenance, and operational upkeep of lodge buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Housekeeping Support: Assisting the housekeeping team with room preparation, cleaning, laundry, and supply management.
- Guest & Lodge Support:



Supporting guest services, event setup, and general lodge operations.

What You Bring

Qualifications

- Previous maintenance, groundskeeping, construction, landscaping, or facilities experience is an asset.
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform general maintenance and upkeep tasks.
- Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and well-kept property.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with hand and power tools is an asset.
- First Aid certification or other relevant trades/safety certifications are an asset.

Preferred Skills

- OFA 3 / Advanced First Aid certification is an asset.

Physical Requirements

- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

- Hourly wage: $20–$23, depending on experience
