The Manager, AI & Digital Workforce Programs is Q Academy's product owner for the AI, IT, cybersecurity, cloud, productivity, and digital skills training catalogue. This role exists to ensure that the programmes Q Academy's employer partnership team sells are genuinely market-differentiated, employer-relevant, instructor-credentialed, and profitable to deliver — because a catalogue that is generic, over-priced to deliver, or under-qualified in instruction directly limits revenue, repeat business, and Q Academy's competitive position in the BC employer training market.
This is a product management role with a workforce development lens. The Manager identifies which digital skills employers in Q Academy's target sectors actually need — not which courses are fashionable in the e-learning market — designs or sources programmes that meet those needs, builds the instructor bench to deliver them at scale, tracks completion and satisfaction quality, and manages programme margins to ensure the commercial team is selling something Q Academy can profitably deliver.
The Manager works at the intersection of product, delivery, and commercial. They do not own the employer relationship — that belongs to the employer partnership team. But they are responsible for ensuring that what the commercial team promises can be delivered, that the catalogue is kept current as technology evolves, and that instructors are calibrated and performing.
A weak programme in this catalogue is not just a delivery problem — it is a renewal risk for the employer partnership manager who sold it.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Catalogue Development
- Build and maintain Q Academy's program catalogue across:
- Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI
- IT and Technical Skills
- Cybersecurity
- Cloud Computing

2. Employer-Ready Product Development
- Work closely with the Employer Sales team to understand client requirements and recurring skills gaps.
- Convert employer requirements into customized or modular training solutions where appropriate.
- Ensure programs solve a clear business or workforce problem rather than being generic courses.

3. Program Launch Management
- Own the end-to-end launch process for new programs.
- Coordinate curriculum development, instructor assignment, learning materials, assessments, pricing inputs, and delivery readiness.
- Establish launch checklists and minimum readiness standards.

- Monitor program-level delivery costs and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins through reusable content,
scalable delivery models, instructor utilization, and program standardization.
- Support sales teams with strong product positioning, program briefs, FAQs, case studies, and proposal content.
- Do not claim or independently own employer revenue. Revenue attribution remains with the salesperson/account owner/director responsible for the client.
