Keywest Projects Ltd. is an employee-owned EPCM firm based in Calgary, Alberta. We deliver comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) solutions to the energy industry, specializing in oil & gas, power generation, and infrastructure projects. Since 2009, we've been delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions in energy development projects ranging from project management and engineering design to construction support and regulatory compliance—ensuring protected, efficient project execution from concept to commissioning.

The Marketing & Communications Specialist is a part‑time contract role (10–20 hours per week) responsible for executing Keywest’s external digital marketing and brand‑focused initiatives. This role supports corporate visibility, recruitment communications, and digital engagement by managing social media, job postings, website updates, advertising, branding, and graphic design. The Specialist works within direction established by the VP, Business Development and collaborates with the Corporate Development team to ensure all outputs reflect Keywest’s brand standards, strategic positioning, and communication priorities.

Responsibilities may Include but not limited to:

This role requires strong attention to detail, design capability, and consistency in delivering polished, accurate, and on‑brand materials. The Consultant is accountable for producing high‑quality digital content that enhances Keywest’s market presence and supports business development objectives.

Specific Duties that may include but not limited to:

Role Scope & Accountability

- Delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely marketing and communications materials
- Maintaining brand consistency across all outputs
- Executing marketing initiatives aligned with company priorities

Decision-Making & Governance

- Marketing strategy and priorities are established by the Management Team
- All initiatives align with direction from the VP, Business Development




- External and company-wide communications require review and QA/QC prior to release
- Vendor engagement and tools approved where required
- Budgets are tracked and coordinated by VP Business Development

Transparency & Work Management

- Maintain visibility of current tasks, priorities, and timelines
- Store all working (native) files and final version files on network systems that are backed up
- Ensure access to platforms, tools, and accounts is shared and documented
- Communicate status, risks, and required decisions proactively

Social Media Management

- Plan, develop, and schedule social media content aligned with approved messaging
- Manage posting cadence, engagement, and platform optimization
- Maintain brand consistency across all social channels
- Track and report on social media performance metrics

Job Postings & Recruitment Communications

- Prepare and post job opportunities across digital platforms
- Ensure postings reflect Keywest’s brand voice and formatting standards
- Coordinate updates with HR and Corporate Development

Website Management

- Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Refresh graphics, imagery, and layout elements as required
- Support ongoing website enhancements and improvements
- Track and report on web analytics and engagement trend.

Advertising & Digital Campaigns

- Develop and execute digital advertising materials (social ads, sponsored posts, industry platforms)
- Ensure all advertising aligns with brand standards and approved messaging
- Track performance metrics and provide recommendations





Branding & Visual Identity

- Maintain and apply Keywest’s brand standards across digital and print materials
- Update and refine templates, line cards, capability statements, and other collateral
- Ensure consistent tone, visual design, and messaging

Graphic Design

- Produce high‑quality graphics, layouts, and visual assets
- Manage corporate photography, videography, and graphic asset libraries
- Support development of brochures and marketing collateral

General Duties:

- Track, report, and submit all weekly timesheets
- Maintain visibility of tasks, timelines, and deliverables
- Store all working and final files on Keywest’s network systems
- Follow QA/QC processes for all external communications
- Communicate status, risks, and required decisions proactively

Qualifications: The qualified candidate will, as a minimum, hold a Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience.

In addition to 5+ years of specific experience, and 10 years of related industry experience the candidate will possess the following:

- Demonstrated experience in social media management, website maintenance, branding, and graphic design.
- Proficiency in design software and digital marketing tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.
- Ability to work independently while aligning with corporate direction.
