ABOUT THE COMPANY A regulated, multi-jurisdiction fintech and digital-assets group building licensed financial infrastructure across North America, EMEA and Latin America:
- e-money accounts and IBANs
- card issuing
- cross-border payments
- digital-asset and regulated investment services
They are compliance-native by design. Rather than shipping one product in one market, they hold the licences each market requires. That licence stack is the moat, and with MiCA, the GENIUS Act and Canada's Retail Payment Activities Act hardening the perimeter, "regulated, cross-border and real" is a position few can honestly claim. ABOUT THE ROLE A founding role. There is no marketing function yet, you will build it, reporting to the CEO with the autonomy to set strategy and the mandate to execute. Early on there is no team: you write the copy, build the campaigns, stand up the tooling and read the data yourself, then hire around your strengths as pipeline and budget grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy and positioning: brand and narrative across a multi-entity group, plus GTM across US, Canadian, EMEA and LatAm capabilities.
- Outbound: the engine end to end. Apollo.io for targeting, Instantly.ai for cadences and deliverability, Zoho CRM as the single source of truth.
- Inbound and full-funnel: SEO, content, website and paid where it earns its place, and the reporting that proves CAC, conversion and marketing-sourced pipeline to the CEO and board.
- Brand, content and community: thought leadership, product messaging, sales collateral, and presence on LinkedIn, X, Telegram, Discord and at events.
- Product marketing and partnerships: turn regulated products into value propositions each ICP acts on, and support partner and investor comms alongside the CEO.
- RevOps and compliance: run the martech stack, and work hand-in-glove with the General Counsel on approved claims. In regulated finance,
marketing is a compliance surface.
FIRST 12 MONTHS
- Months 1 to 3: ship the brand and messaging foundation, with a compliance-approved claims library agreed with the GC.
- Months 3 to 6: launch the outbound engine against priority ICPs and generate the first repeatable, measurable pipeline.
- Months 6 to 9: prove channel ROI and present a data-backed budget and hiring plan.
- Months 9 to 12: make your first hires, expand into inbound and community, and make marketing a pipeline contributor the board can forecast against.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- You will be measured like an executive, in the language of growth, not activity:
- Marketing-sourced qualified pipeline and its conversion to revenue.
- CPA/CAC and payback, trending in the right direction.
- Predictable funnel metrics (MQL to SQL to opportunity) the CEO and board can trust.
- Brand equity and share of voice, and a function that scales with the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 to 9 years in B2B marketing, ideally fintech, payments or Web3/digital assets, with outsized impact relative to your title.
- Full-stack operator, comfortable being the whole function before you lead a team.
- Hands-on with Apollo.io, Instantly.ai and Zoho CRM, or close equivalents.
- Data-driven: you defend every spend decision with CAC, conversion and pipeline numbers.
- Compliance-aware: you treat marketing regulated products as itself regulated.
- Self-starter with strong written English,
disciplined async across EMEA and Americas time zones.
- Able to travel internationally on a regular basis (EMEA, US, Canada, LatAm) and hold or obtain the documentation to do so.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Core, required: Apollo.io, Instantly.ai, Zoho CRM.
- Also expected: enrichment and GTM data (Clay, Cognism, Sales Navigator), deliverability (verification, domain warm-up, SPF/DKIM/DMARC), LinkedIn automation (HeyReach, Expandi), analytics and attribution (GA4, Dreamdata or HockeyStack), CMS and SEO (Webflow or WordPress, Ahrefs or Semrush), lifecycle automation (HubSpot, Customer.io), consent tooling (OneTrust, Osano) with a grasp of CASL, GDPR and PIPEDA, AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT), and design basics (Figma, Canva).
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Web3-native fluency (on-chain audiences, Nansen, Dune, Galxe), familiarity with MiCA, MiFID II or LatAm financial-marketing rules, background in card issuing, e-money or crypto on/off-ramps, and previous zero-to-one experience as a first marketing hire.
PAY RANGE AND COMPENSATION PACKAGE Total ownership of marketing and a direct line to the CEO. No layers, no politics. Competitive compensation plus meaningful equity through the employee stock option plan. Remote-first within EMEA/Americas overlap. Outcomes, not hours at a desk. Company-funded travel to leading conferences, summits and partner forums worldwide. A rare seat, building the brand of a regulated cross-border group at the moment the market turns toward players like this one.
EQUAL CHANCE STATEMENT
Our client is an equal-opportunity employer. As a regulated financial-services group, offers are subject to background and reference checks.
