Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and equipment to identify mechanical issues or potential failures
- Perform repairs, replacements, and routine maintenance using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize downtime across operations
Experience
- Proven experience working as a mechanic or in a similar hands-on technical role
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and machinery types
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc., for repair tasks
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, grinders, impact wrenches, etc., for effective maintenance work
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Good communication skills to document work performed clearly and collaborate effectively with team members
