Role: Experienced Mechanical Designer/ Engineer at YJE Engineering

YJE Engineering is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer / Engineer to join our growing team in Alberta. The successful candidate will lead mechanical design projects, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

- Lead mechanical design and drafting for industrial/commercial projects
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and design documentation
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other disciplines
- Mentor and supervise junior designers and engineers
- Attend project meetings and perform site reviews when required
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
- Assist with shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and construction support

Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Must be eligible to work n Canada with a valid SIN number
- 4+ years of relevant Canadian experience
- P.Eng. designation or strong senior-level design experience preferred (4+ years of experience will also be considered)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD,



Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Revit experience not required but nice to have)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction practices, and applicable codes
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

Job Type: Full time Pay: $60,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
