The Opportunity
Rightway Recruitment is representing a growing Downtown Vancouver-based engineering and consulting firm specializing in fire suppression design and building code consulting. The company works across a range of residential, mixed-use, commercial, and industrial projects throughout British Columbia.
With continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are looking to add a Mechanical Designer to their team. The priority is finding someone with strong Revit experience.
Sprinkler design experience is not required. The client is open to candidates with strong Revit design experience across a variety of disciplines who are interested in developing their technical knowledge and learning on the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate fire suppression designs using Revit
- Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other consultant disciplines
- Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and coordination
- Support project teams throughout design, permitting, and construction
- Assist with drawing reviews, revisions, and responses to project changes
- Participate in BIM coordination and clash resolution
- Work closely with engineers, designers, contractors, and clients
- Support project scheduling, coordination, and delivery
- Ensure drawings and designs meet internal quality standards and applicable project requirements
What You Bring
- Experience working with Revit in a building design environment
- Strong proficiency with Revit is essential
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and building coordination
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Comfortable coordinating with engineers, architects, contractors, and other consultants
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
Technical Assets
- Advanced Revit skills and experience working within BIM environments
- Strong AutoCAD capabilities
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary building systems

Compensation & Advantages
- $90,000 – $130,000 salary depending on experience
- Candidates at the top of the range would bring fire/sprinkler suppression experience
