Job Summary

This position is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the Big Quill facility. This position will assess the facility's resource requirements, design and optimize the facility's layout and critical operational systems, and oversee the maintenance of infrastructure and equipment.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to assess infrastructure needs and optimize site layouts and structural systems.
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of industrial infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and project requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender packages, and specifications; manage project costs to meet scope, schedule, and financial targets.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and long‑term asset performance.
- Analyze engineering data, surveys, drawings, and reports to determine materials, structural requirements, and design specifications.
- Design and deliver infrastructure & equipment upgrades
- Assess existing infrastructure, conduct field evaluations, and recommend improvements for reliability, efficiency, and compliance. Take lead in provincial asset management program as per Saskatchewan Mines Regulations.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance programs for assets to reduce unplanned outages and extend asset life.
- Oversee contractors to ensure work meets specifications, safety requirements, schedules,



and budgets.
- Ensure all work comply with codes, regulations, engineering standards, and safety requirements through inspections and audits.
- Maintain accurate engineering records, inspections, reports, and compliance documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.

Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering or related field. P.Eng or qualifications to be registered as P.Eng in Saskatchewan.
- Minimum of five years of experience in industrial manufacturing preferably in structural analysis
- At least two years in project management involving cross functional teams
- At least two years in leading maintenance/process reliability programs
- Excellent computer skills and experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
- Must be knowledgeable of all environment and safety issues and related legislation.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership and technical skills.
