As part of a close-knit estimating group, you'll report to the Director of Construction and take full ownership of your projects from start to finish. With a focus on design/build and bid-spec initiatives, your role is vital in driving project success. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop full mechanical takeoffs for HVAC and piping scopes
- Analyze drawings and specifications, generating RFIs for scope gaps
- Level and negotiate subtrade and vendor quotations
- Formulate competitive and accurate bid packages
- Collaborate with project managers on design/build projects Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years estimating experience with mechanical contractors
- Skilled in tools like FastPIPE and eTakeoff
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong grasp of the Ontario Building Code
