TRS is seeking experienced MAINTENANCE & RELIABILITY ENGINEERS to support fixed plant operations within a large industrial processing environment. These roles will serve as a critical link between Operations, Maintenance Planning, and Reliability teams, helping improve equipment performance, eliminate recurring defects, prioritize maintenance activities, and drive asset reliability initiatives.

Work Arrangement

- Remote site assignment on 2/2 rotation.
- Contract duration: 1 year term with possible extension

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the primary liaison between Operations and Reliability teams.
- Support defect elimination initiatives and resolve recurring equipment issues.
- Identify operational and maintenance risks that impact plant performance.
- Work closely with maintenance planners, reliability specialists, supervisors, and operations personnel.
- Prioritize maintenance activities based on operational impact and business needs.
- Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues and develop practical solutions.
- Support maintenance shutdown planning and execution.
- Participate in continuous improvement and asset performance initiatives.
- Utilize asset management and maintenance management systems to improve reliability outcomes.
- Support maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution strategies.

Typical Deliverables





- Investigating recurring equipment failures and developing corrective actions.
- Improving equipment uptime and plant availability.
- Supporting maintenance planning and optimization activities.
- Driving root cause analysis and defect elimination programs.
- Implementing reliability improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

- Engineering degree preferred, but not mandatory.
- Technical background in mechanical maintenance, reliability, operations, or industrial asset management.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Required Experience Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following sectors: Mining, Mineral Processing, Oil & Gas, Heavy Industrial Processing

Additional experience should include

- Fixed plant operations
- Maintenance and reliability engineering
- Rotating equipment
- Troubleshooting operational issues
- Maintenance planning and execution
- Cross-functional collaboration with operations and maintenance teams

- Reliability engineering programs

- SAP or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Equipment Experience Experience with similar processing plant equipment is considered an asset: Crushing & Grinding, SAG & Ball Mills, Feeders, Conveyors, Pumping Systems, Flotation & Processing Equipment, Rotating Equipment, Tailings & Water Management
