Job Overview

City Centre Surgery (CCS) is a new, state-of-the-art private surgical facility in Surrey, BC. Operating with a high-efficiency model, our facility is owned and operated by 19 physicians and employs a dedicated clinical staff of over 50 professionals.

We are seeking a highly organized Medical Office Assistant or Unit Clerk particularly experienced in private surgical centres or operating rooms.

MOA / Unit Clerk Responsibilities

- Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries efficiently
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Telus Health, InFlow, and Shareable Forms.
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and correspondence
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient visits
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication
- Liaise directly with OR nurses and surgeons to resolve any discrepancies in daily charting or timesheets.
- Support general daily clinic operations to ensure a seamless patient and surgeon experience.

Skills

- Graduate of a Medical Office Assistant/ Healthcare Unit Clerk program and a minimum of 4 years of experience




- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Telus Health
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with front desk operations, appointment scheduling, and administrative support functions
- Previous experience working with office technology including computers, scanners, and office software applications

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
