At the Kenora Emergency Shelter, you will work as an Emergency Shelter Worker, focusing on creating a safe, supportive environment for clients facing homelessness.
This role includes engaging with patrons, assisting with their personal needs, and ensuring adherence to shelter protocols. As part of a dedicated team, you'll contribute to effective crisis management and community referrals. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate connections between clients and support services
- Ensure the shelter’s safety and security standards are met
- Log daily interaction records with patrons
- Assist with general housekeeping and meal duties
- Communicate building maintenance needs to the Team Lead Requirements:
- Background in mental health support or crisis intervention
