Join our team as a Child Care Worker focusing on youth support and development. Utilize trauma-informed practices to create a nurturing, safe workplace for at-risk youth. In this role, the Child Care Worker will provide daily care and encouragement for children facing multiple challenges.
Your responsibilities include preparing meals, engaging youth in constructive activities, and maintaining comprehensive progress records. You will also transport youth when necessary while adhering to agency policies and best practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily activities in a staffed resource unit
- Organize meals and active participation in structured activities
- Keep detailed records of individual youth's progress
- Provide transportation support as required
- Assist youth with daily living tasks and responsibilities Requirements:
- Diploma in Child & Youth Care or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience with youth in care
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed and behavioural practices
- Valid Driver's License with required insurance
- Completion of necessary background checks Support vulnerable youth in developing resilience and coping skills through your guidance.
