Pomerleau is proud to be part of the WAHA Redevelopment Project, a landmark healthcare initiative supporting the delivery of the Moose Factory Island Ambulatory Care Facility and strengthening access to care for communities in Northern Ontario. As part of this highly impactful project, the MEP Operations Lead will play a key role in overseeing mechanical and electrical execution, coordinating trade partners, supporting commissioning activities, and ensuring building systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. This position follows a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation and operates on a fly in fly out schedule.

Provide MEP expertise to support the successful delivery of all mechanical and electrical project requirements Serve as the electromechanical subject matter expert for the project, providing guidance across design, construction, and commissioning activities. Execute the role of MEP Operations Lead by. Act proactively to predict and mitigate risks.

This includes supporting the project team for all MEP items. Managing the MEP Scopes and Trade Partners. Manage relationships to ensure trust and long-term relationships. Support, guide,



and manage junior MEP Ops team members Support the project team in the preparation and validation of construction schedules and commissioning, with technical reviews of specialty shop drawings and with procurement (costs).

Actively engage (as required by the Project Director) in the remaining design development phase to ensure that the project objectives are met. Actively engage in the project schedule development to ensure that a viable achievable schedule is created. Onsite presence to assist with the management of the day to day MEP operations and supporting of the site staff.

Approve

Quality and Commissioning plans from our MEP trade partners. Drive the Commissioning Process, including the management of the third party Cx agent. 5-10 years of mechanical and electrical experience in the construction industry. ~ A University Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a combination of education and industry experience. ~ A proven track record of mechanical and electrical coordination and team collaboration. ~ Experience in healthcare would be an asset.
