Job Summary: Join the Methods Engineering team supporting the production of the De Havilland DHC Aircrafts. This role offers hands-on experience in manufacturing support, technical documentation, and digital data preparation. Ideal for students seeking real-world exposure to aerospace manufacturing processes.
Direct Accountabilities: Read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings to support manufacturing.
Create work instructions and annotated workbooks using CAD tools.
Digitize legacy hand-drawn drawings using scanning equipment and verify against existing tools/parts.
Use 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) for data preparation.
Handle multiple tasks with proper prioritization in a production environment.
Communicate with other departments to clarify technical details and resolve issues.
Education Required: Enrolled in a Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering program. Experience, skills, and attitude: Required Understanding of engineering drawings.
Experience in CAD software. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions Maintain strict adherence to De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC) Health & Safety Policies.
Work in various environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, confined spaces, heights, and around chemicals.
Must be able to climb, stand, kneel, lift (up to 50 pounds), push, pull, bend, reach, carry, walk, crawl, balance, and use stairs.
Must be able to work shift rotations including weekends and/or night shifts, on-call or overtime as occasionally required.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for workplace safety.
Ensure the ability to maintain a positive fit test when mask use is necessary.
