Mind Builder (Tutor)
Little Minds Big Futures is growing, and we are looking for passionate, reliable, and experienced Mind Builders (Tutors) to join our team!
A Mind Builder is more than a tutor. Our educators help children build academic skills, confidence, independence, and a positive relationship with learning. We are looking for educators who genuinely enjoy working with children and are passionate about helping them reach their potential.
About the Role
As a Mind Builder (Tutor), you may work with students from Kindergarten through Grade 8 in areas such as literacy, reading, writing, math, and general academic support.
You will
- Provide engaging, individualized instruction based on student needs
- Support students academically while building confidence and a growth mindset
- Prepare and deliver age-appropriate learning activities
- Monitor student progress and communicate relevant observations
- Create a positive, encouraging, and qualified learning environment
- Adapt instruction to different learning needs and abilities
- Maintain professional communication with families and the Little Minds Big Futures team
- Follow Little Minds Big Futures' educational approach, expectations, and policies
What We Are Looking For We are looking for educators who are:
- Warm, patient, encouraging, and dependable
- Passionate about helping children learn and grow
- Professional and reliable in communication
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Able to adapt instruction to different learning needs
- Experienced working directly with children
- Currently living in Canada
- French-speaking is considered an asset
REQUIRED Qualifications
Applicants must have
- At least 2 years of professional experience in education
- Experience working directly with children
- 2 professional references
- A clear Police Record Check / Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A genuine passion for education and supporting children's learning
- Current residence in Canada
