The position holder provides expert and professional on court training and coaching to National Team members and professional players based at the NTC for up to 8 hours per day, including travelling on tours to tournaments, and team events. This person provides players with opportunities in order to become and sustain a professional status on the ITF tours and WTA tours.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and follow through upon annual periodization plans;
- Plan and organize daily on court practices, fitness training in liaison with NTC fitness trainers, International and National travel arrangements and accommodation for players competing up to 30+ weeks per year;
- Provide players with game plans, strategy and tactics at tournaments in order to achieving winning results;
- Meet with and provide updates and progress reports to parents, upper management and or board members;
- Attend weekly meetings and provide updates with fellow National Coaches, supervisors and upper management;
- Develops and maintains strong relationships and regular communication with the parents of NTC female athletes.
- Assist in University placement as an alternate route to qualified tennis

- Has a proven track record of reliability, professionalism, and success in player development.
- Demonstrates flexibility with work schedules and is available to travel as required.
Working Conditions
These duties require involvement in tennis training and fitness sessions for up to 8 hours per day. The position requires availability to travel internationally for tournament competition for approximately 25 weeks per year.
The successful candidate will work approximately 40 weeks per year (flexible between 35 and 45 weeks) and will be required to work evenings and weekends while on tour.
