Foothills School Division is seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our Classroom Complexity Team.

As part of Alberta Education's Complexity Funding initiative, Foothills School Division will be implementing Junior High/High School Complexity Teams during the 2026-27 school year. The purpose of these teams is to strengthen our capacity to support students with complex learning, behavioural, social-emotional, and executive functioning needs through a proactive, cooperative, and school-based approach.

The Occupational Therapist will work with the multidisciplinary team to support both students and school staff within an inclusive environment. This position requires an individual who is flexible and confident in implementing universal, targeted and individualized supports within and out of the classroom. The successful candidate will also collaborate with the team and school staff to further develop capacity in implementing OT strategies to support students with mild to severe needs

This position provides service to all schools within FSD. The incumbent must be available to work during a typical school year (late August - end of June)



and travel to schools throughout the division.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university and be registered or eligible for registration with ACOT (Alberta College of Occupational Therapists) or CAOT (Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists). Experience supporting students with occupational therapy delays/disorders and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams is preferred. Previous experience with K-12 students is considered an asset.
